Epoxy sealed trays

1. Supplies: decal,3 plastic mixing cups, white spray paint, epoxy, popsicle sticks, silver tray and gloves

Follow Instructions on box to mix the epoxy

I The spray painted the silver platter with 2 coats of paint. Let dry

after Paint has tried completely I put my decal sticker on. After the decal is on I take the already mixed epoxy and very careful and evenly spread the epoxy over the engine. If you have problems with bubble you can use a small torch to get the bubbles out.onec you spread the epoxy cover with a plastic bag so dust will not settle. You will need to let this dry for at least 24-48 hours.

Now you have trays to do what whatever you like!

Another project: crochet

So I decided to learn how to crochet an actual item. I started with baby beanies so i can learn the basic stitches. They turned out well.So I made 12 preemie beanies and donated them to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). And a few shower poufs for my family. Now I want to challenge my inner crafty self..😊 . Im going to attempt  the baby booties!! I have searched for a few free ones and i think i have one. I am going to give it it a shot and we ahall see how it turns out.

I found the free pattern on this blog… http://knottyknotty.blogspot.com (picture above is courtesy of Knotty Knotty Crochet)

Stay tuned for the finished project..

All Settled In

It has been a month and we are in our new location and just about settled in. New place, new friends and new adventures.  I told myself i woul try and blog every day or every other day! Thats if the twins let me, we’ll see how that goes. Those girls keep me on my toes,  its always something. We still have afew boxes ti go through and soon because im missing a few things. One good thing is nothing is broke at this moment but the unpackers put  to good my bed wrong!!.well motherly duties call.until later💖

Now what?

Well I started this blog with intentions of doing something new and different and give me a chance to write. Then I realize, that I must live a not so interesting life, because I felt like I have nothing to write about. But then again I have 3 year old twin girls, so my house can be in chaos most times! So I  began to think I can start there, twin shenanigans!  well we’ll see how that goes! Well I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

January Drugstore Make Up Haul..

image

So I know I’m a little late in posting, but life happens. I live in a little town where you have to go out the way for just about anything good. The nearest Walgreens is about 30 minutes away. I  decided to go because there want anything else to do and I wanted to see what they had. On my last makeup run I decided to try Maybelline FitMe Dewy Smooth in 355 Coconut, Let me tell you, I did not like it. At the end of the day I was looking like a shiny mudball. I  decided to try the matte+poreless in coconut 355. I love it. I think i have found my new drugstore liquid foundation. A few other things that I picked up on my Walgreens run….
-Wet ‘n  Wild Primer- I tried this one and like it better than the Black Radiance face primer
-Maybelline FitMe set smooth powder -355 Coconut
-E.L.F flawless finish foundation in -Almond- this is too light for my skin tone but I did try it as a concealer (I picked this up from my local walmart)
-L.A Girl Pro HD concealer in Toffee( this I did not get at walgreens, I picked it up from my local beauty supply store)
-e.l.f. eyeshadow brush
-e.l.f natural lash kit- I never wore eyelashes but think about giving it a try
-Wet ‘n Wild mega protein mascara very black
-Jordana Modern Matte lipstick 09 Matte Dare

My twins birth story

On February 7,2013, I was 34 weeks pregnant with twins. early that morning I had an appointment for a non stress test. As I lay on the table waiting for my appointment to be over, the technician looked and looked on the screen at the babies. she had a look of concern on her face as she looked and came back with the doctor. He continued to look and observe the screen. He said he had some concern about baby B and he will consult his partners at another hospital. when he came back in he said the it was best to deliver the babies that day. Baby B heart rate kept fluctuating and her fluid was lower than what it suppose to be. So an emergency c-section was scheduled as soon as the NICU team arrived. The hospital I delivered at did not have a NICU until and the tram had to come almost 2 hours away.
So her I was getting ready to have my 2 baby girls. I went up to get prepped for my surgery. I was devastated and I cried. I had heard horror stories 9f having an epidural and a spinal. I want to try and have my girls natural. But that wasn’t going to happen. The anesthesiologist was amazing, she talked to me and calmed me down as she proceeded with the epidural. I felt nothing and the needle and tube went in with no problem.
Around 5 that even the NICU team arrived and I was ready. Ready to meet my twinions. At 5:34 pm Janessa entered this world weighing 4 pounds and 2 ounces. And at 5:40 Jakiya also enter the world weighing 4 pounds and 4 ounces. After they were cleaned and Che ked the we’re hauled off by the NICU team to be transported to a children’s hospital. I saw my girls for a few minutes,I didn’t even get to hold them. That truly mad me sad. I had to wait til I was discharged to go up to be with my girls.
I was doing great so I was released that Saturday and went straight to see my girls. Jakiya spent 18 days in the NICU and Janessa spent 21 days. They were perfect, no problems, all they had to do was maintain their body temperature.
So yesterday February 7, 2016, my girls turned 3 years old. And I love them to the moon and back.

Pink Bridal Show

image

I promised myself not to go too long without blogging. Fail..Anyway, last week my daughter, my sister and I went to a Pink Bridal show in Nashville TN. It was great and we had a blast. Very informative and well worth the trip. My daughter found 3 possible vendors within budget range that she may get for her wedding. so if you are around the Nashville area you might want to check them out and not just for wedding, they can do any events. I am going to list a few that I was really impressed with and hope they will be great choices if they are chosen for my daughter’s wedding.

The event went very well and I enjoyed the fashion show too. They had alot of various vendors to choose from that would would make choosing one for your event a little difficult. 🙂 They all were amazing.

The only thing I didn’t like like was paying 3 dollars for a can soda. Really?!?!  Oh well they got to make their coins somehow. .

But overall it was a nice first time experience for the bride and mother of the bride.
